Goodbye Kerjos!
We stayed two weeks and we had the best weather of the world.
Brittany was already a long time on our list to visit and this year we decided to give it a try.
Leaving the stress at home and carry the bikes with us we drove to Kerjos.
We biked along some parts of the canal Nantes-Brest and enjoyed the nice sceneries and quiet environment.
Of course we visited the beautiful coast area and did some biketours along the coast and inlands.
The famous light house “Armen “was visible from The Pointe du Raz. I made a nice picture of it.
The coast near Ploumanach is one of our favorite.
We also visited some towns and markets and Quimper. What a nice city: the old buildings, nice shops. We also visited Le Faouet witch is famous for its beautiful very old chapels and old market building.
We enjoyed the gite and the very nice garden with surrounding nice views
It was so lovely that we could enjoy our breakfast every day outside
Unfortunately all the good things come to an end. We are now preparing our trip back to Holland and say goodbye to the friendly owner and to Brittany.

This was our 4th stay at Kerjos so it feels like home from home. Josiane and Michel are very kind and welcoming and always have lots of information about what to see and do in the area. The location of the gite is perfect for us, in a peaceful rural setting yet with easy access to towns and the coast. It is also very close to the Nantes-Brest canal which is very pleasant for walking or cycling. There are lots of other lovely walks in the area with maps and information available in the gite

Located in central Finistére with good access to West and South coast. Near pretty town of Chateauneuf du Faou. Lovely walks along the river and canal, and through local woods. Beautiful gardens at the nearby Chateau de Trevarez (particularly for the butterflies.We saw the admirals , white admirals , peacoks..etc). Lots of interesting places to visit within half an hour's drive, including Pont Aven, the artists village, and Concarneau medieval walled town. Kerjos has a beautiful, quiet garden with space for children to play and choices of places to sit and drink a glass or two of local wine, listening to the sound of birdsongs. The house is comfortable and well equipped, with a good tv and dvd. Josiane is a friendly and helpful host, even posting a board game we left behind back to us after our return. Definitely worth a return visit.

We have stayed for 2 weeks in your lovely gîte and enjoyed the quiet location. We have made many walks with our dog and visited many places as Pointe du RAZ, Cap de la Chèvre, and the towns of Locronan, Crozon Morgat, Chateaulin , Quimper ..etc etc..
We also visited The Castle Trevarez with a very nice garden.

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable , dans un site calme et reposant.
Le gîte est confortable, il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans un cadre verdoyant et fleuri.
Merci pour votre accueil très chaleureux. Nous avons apprécié le bouquet de camélias et les bonnes crêpes.
Nous avons découvert la région et fait beaucoup de randos : canal, chemins verts, château de Trévarez. C’était super ..

Magnifique chalet !
Magnifiquement située , maison avec un grand jardin et belle véranda . L'équipement est tel que décrit , très propre et avec Internet sans fil gratuit , il ne laisse aucun désir inassouvi.
Propriétaire très courtoise et sympathique . Nous avons été très bien accueillis et informés avec de nombreuses astuces pour les découvertes à proximité ou plus loin.
Nous sommes heureux de nous remémorer ce séjour. Peut-être que nous reviendrons . A recommander
Wunderschönes Häuschen im Grünen!
Schön gelegenes Häuschen am Waldrand mit tollem Garten und schöner Veranda. Die Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben, sehr sauber und mit kostenfreiem WLAN bleibt kein Wunsch offen. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieterin. Wir wurden hervorragend begrüßt und mit vielen Tipp´s für Entdeckungen in der näheren und weiteren Entfernung beraten.
Gerne denken wir an den Aufenthalt zurück. Vielleicht kommen wir mal wieder. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

We had a very pleasant stay at gite de Kerjos. The gite is clean and well equipped, complete with good beds. Josiane and Michel gave us a warm welcome with a good explanation of the house and information about the area.. On the table we found a vase with gardenflowers, a bottle of apple cider and crepes. The gite has a big garden with a colourful border. Sitting in the garden or terrace we had a beautiful view on the hills of Brittany. The garden furniture is complete and you have the choice of sunny and shady places in the garden. The location of the gite is very central. We could make daytrips to the north- west- and southcoast and the forest and fields as well. The days we stayed at the gite, we enjoyed the very quiet area, where you could hear the birds sing. In combination with all the nice things Brittany has to offer it was a holiday to remember.

A peaceful, private property in a beautiful location - we had a fantastic family holiday.
It was ideal for teenagers and our dog. Mme Laz has thought of everything.
An ideal base for exploring Finistere. We would be happy to return here in the future.

Il était idéal pour les adolescents et notre chien. Mme Laz a pensé à tout. Une base idéale pour explorer le Finistère.

Après 2 séjours particulièrement agréables en avril 2013 et avril 2015, nous avons retrouvé avec plaisir le gîte de Kerjos pour 2 semaines d'été.
L'accueil de Josiane et Michel est toujours aussi chaleureux et amical. Ce gîte coquet et calme favorise le repos après les longues randonnées dans les Monts d'Arrée tout proches. Recommandé à tous ceux qui recherchent le calme dans un environnement fleuri.

A lovely well equipped Gite surrounded by peaceful countryside, a real gem.
Has everything you could possibly need including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Centrally located to explore the Finistere region of Brittany including coastal resorts.
Josiane and Michel welcomed us to the Gite and provided a drink and recommended great places to visit.
Will be recommending to our friends and family!

A comfortable place to stay, fire works well and cooking facilities are good. Ideal location to visit lots of nice places. Our favourites were Concarneau, Pont-Aven, Douarnenez and Crozon. Quimper is a very large town, not our sort of place, also the pottery museum is not open until 11th April, from what you could see through the windows it would have been interesting.
Reds have an advantage at table football.We have had great weather for early April, up to 21°c some days, but down to 10 on others.The
Chateau Trevarez is well worth a visit – chateau itself is interesting.Locally we did 2 long walks by the canal, river Aulne at Saint Goazec towards Chateauneuf and back. Lovely! We also
saw a kingfisher.

We have spent a very enjoyable week in la Petite Maison. We such enjoyed our visit to Trevarez to see the house and the gardens. We managed visits to Quimper, Concarneau, Pont-Aven (très belle), Pointe du Raz, Faou, Crozon (wher we took a boat trip to see the caves). We also managed to walk and cycle by the Aulne at Chateauneuf du Faou, as well as many visits to cafés!
This really is a lovely area.Relax and enjoy !

Thanks for a wonderful time in a lovely setting. Sitting on the patio, enjoying the great view, very idyllic. The welcome was warm and friendly, thanks.
Visited some great places, such as ecomusee in Commana and Pont-Aven. Both worth a look, as are Port Manec’h and Domaine de Trévarez. Lovely little cat who befriended us too. Would come back again and recommend a stay to anyone visiting Brittany.

We stayed at Kerjos for a week last year and it wasn’t long enough. This year we booked 2 weeks and still we could stay longer! So many things to see and do from the peace and quiet of this place. Quimper is definitely worth a visit. .Off the beaten track is a beautiful medieval garden near the Musée de Faience (in Locmaria), also Concarneau (tip : take the short ferry tide from Lanriec), Pont-Aven (seek out the Talisman for excellent crêpes), Locronan and Huelgoat.
Locally, Chateau de Trévarez and its gardens are beautiful and benefit from contempory art installations. We would also recommend a walk along the Aulne and lunch at the Chaland, and/or following the “sentier botanique”. In the guide of Saint Goazec, circuits, walks are well marked and easy to follow once you have decoded the waymarks! A good way to see the local landscape.
Not to forget the wonderful welcome at Kerjos from Josiane and Solange (wonderful crepes too!). We are sad to leave but look forward to our return.

What a wonderful gîte !
We came here, tired from work and a long journey, and within a day we were relaxed. We did sleep very well, thanks to the quiet place, the singing birds and a good bed! We visited Concarneau, Quimper, Crozon, Chateauneuf du Faou, Trevarez, Locronan.
We saw a fox, a kingfisher, an otter, a deer and beautiful flowers.
Josiane and Michel were very helpful We have made several long walks, our muscles did protest J
At Rosporden, we ate at La Sorrentina, it was very good Italian food at a good price.
We filled the evenings with Scrabble (I lost), reading, playing guitar, and enjoyed the film we found in the closet, and the fire place.
Just one more day we spent in Pont-Aven, and then we pack our bags, get one more good night sleep and go home. We hope you enjoy your staying here as much as we did!

Wat een prachtige gîte !
We kwamen hier, moe van het werk en een lange reis, en binnen een dag waren we ontspannen. We hadden erg goed slapen, dankzij de rustige plek, de zingende vogels en een lekker bed! We bezochten Concarneau, Quimper, Crozon, Chateauneuf du Faou, Trevarez, Locronan.
We zagen een vos, een ijsvogel, een otter, een hert en prachtige bloemen.
Josiane en Michel waren zeer behulpzaam Wij hebben diverse lange wandelingen, onze spieren hebben geprotesteerd
bij J Rosporden, we aten bij La Sorrentina, was zeer goed Italiaans eten tegen een goede prijs.
We vulden de avonden met Scrabble (Ik verloor), lezen, gitaar spelen, en genoten van de film die we vonden in de kast en de openhaard.
Slechts één dag hebben we doorgebracht in Pont-Aven, en vervolgens pakken we onze tassen, krijgen nog één goede nachtrust en ga naar huis.
Wij hopen dat u geniet van uw verblijf hier zoveel als wij!

La découverte de Kerjos a dépassé nos espérances. Le site, la vue, le jardin et l’aménagement de la terrasse sont vraiment magnifiques. Nous nous sommes sentis à l’aise et heureux de cet endroit, propice au repos. La maison est chamante, bien confortable et l’accueil des propriétaires à la hauteur des lieux.
Nous espérons y revenir, car nous nous y sentons si bien…

A lovely peaceful attractive location and a very comfortable cottage but all too short a holiday. We visited Huelgoat, the Presqu’île de Crozon and also Pont-Aven, Concarneau, Benodet, and the coastlines, and coastal paths between the Nantes and Brest Canal was interesting and Chateauneuf good for shopping. We also searched out the “golfball” on the horizon, to the east, and visited a menhir and prehistoric “ allée couverte” on the way there.

The house itself was clean, well equipped and cosy.
Josiane, the house owner, welcomed us when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. She was also happy to speak English to us, which made things a lot easier. The gite is also in an ideal location. Less than an hour drive from the beach, and only 30 minutes from Quimper. The gite is ideal for sight-seeing and just relaxing at the cottage. Our stay was made even nicer by our neighbours. Jean-François and Solange made us crepes, and invited us for drinks.
We all enjoyed our stay very much, and would happily come here again.

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique à Kerjos. La description était tout à fait juste et comme précisée sur le site web. La location était très bien entretenue. Le propriétaire nous a donné tout ce qu'il nous fallait comme bons conseils. Je recommanderai cette location sans hésiter à mes amis et en effet je l'ai fait déjà. Je voudrais bien y retourner parce que le gîte et la région étaient super. Le gîte est très bien situé pour la côte et les jolies villes de Concarneau, Quimper , Locronan. Nous avons apprécié beaucoup de petits coins dans la région et nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux des français et du propriétaire du gîte. Pour conclure, nous avons passé un séjour excellent à Kerjos et ce serait pour nous un très grand plaisir d'y retourner. Merci mille fois à vous tous !

Ce gîte est calme, reposant situé dans un endroit verdoyant, loin et près de tout. Idéal pour se ressourcer.

Ce gîte nous a donné toute satisfaction. Pas seulement pour son équipement –rien ne nous a manqué- mais également pour sa situation au cœur du Finistère. Le littoral nous a enchantés tant au Nord, Morlaix, Carantec qu’à l’Ouest –presqu’île de Crozon- ou au Sud –Concarneau..etc.. Bref nous repartons ravis de notre séjour..Merci à notre hôtesse qui nous a si bien accueillis.

Gîte idéalement situé au centre du Finistère pour nous qui souhaitions découvrir cette région. Nous avons pu sillonner du Nord au Sud en passant par la presqu’île de Crozon et la rade de Brest. Un peu de soleil en prime. En outre un gite très calme, très reposant, très fleuri. Vraiment une semaine ressourçante. Merci pour l’accueil.

Petite maison encastrée dans un écrin de verdure et un cadre magnifique..J’ai envie d’y faire une autre halte au gré des années qui passent afin d’y retrouver l’enchantement. Merci pour l’accueil.

Une excellente location pour visiter la partie Ouest de la Bretagne. Concarneau vaut le détour et n’est pas très loin. Promenez vous le long du canal à Chateauneuf et vous verrez les rois des pêcheurs sur la rive. Une semaine parfaite passée dans un splendide et calme environnement avec un temps incroyablement beau ! Nous aimerions revenir très bientôt
An excellent location for visiting the western part of Brittany.Concarneau is worth a visit and not too far. Take a walk along the canal at Chateauneuf and spot the kingfishers on the bank. A perfect week spent in a gorgeous, peaceful surroundings with unbelievable good weather .Would love to return soon.

Notre second voyage en Bretagne dans un gîte tranquille et idyllique. Nous avons eu de la chance avec le temps. Aussi nous avons pu nous reposer sur la terrasse occupés à lire ou siroter un verre de vin ou deux.. Nous avons fait une excursion à Quimper, une très belle ville et nous avons eu la chance d’assister au baptême de notre petite fille à la cathédrale de Quimper. Nous nous sommes promenés sous le soleil le long du canal à Chateauneuf. Ce furent réellement des vacances reposantes. Merci !
Our second trip to Brittany and this was truly a quiet and idylic gite. We have been very lucky with the weather. So have been able to relax on the patio reading and having a glass of wine or two while listening to the bees working away around us. We had a trip to Quimper which is a beautiful city and were lucky enough to go to our granddaughter Baptism at Quimper Cathedral. We had a walk along to canal at Chateauneuf in the sunshine. It has been a really restful holiday. Thank you !

Malgré une semaine de pluie nous avons eu un séjour très relaxant dans notre gîte. Un agréable feu de cheminée et quelques verres de vin nous faisaient oublier le temps. Nous avons visité Concarneau, Quimper, Brest et Huelgoat (qui vaut le détour ).Nous avons apprécié quelques verres de bière à l’auberge au bord de la rivière à Chateauneuf. Nous espérons revenir au printemps ou en été pour voir la Bretagne sous son meilleur jour. Merci beaucoup !
Despite a week of rain , we had a very relaxing time at our gite. A lovely fire and a couple of glasses of wine soon took our minds out off the weather. We visited Concarneau, Quimper Brest and Huelgoat (well worth a visit) and had a few beers down the riverside inn’s at Chateauneuf. We hope to return in the Spring or Summer to see Brtittany at its best! Many thanks !

Nous visitons le Finistère Sud en famille. Notre fils Evann est ravi de ce séjour au calme auprès du feu . Joli site reposant près de la côte où nous naviguons vers tous ces endroits aussi jolis les uns que les autres. Merci pour votre accueil .
